Cuttack, Nov 8: In a proactive move to ensure public health and food safety, the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) Health Department launched a surprise inspection today at the Baliyatra ground. The operation targeted food stalls suspected of selling adulterated and stale items.
Led by the
CMC Health Officer and the Food Safety Officer’s team, officials combed through
various stalls and seized large quantities of stale food, which were
immediately destroyed. Several vendors were fined for violating food safety
norms, and samples of confiscated items have been sent for quality testing.
