Bhubaneswar, Jan 26: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik conveyed good wishes to people on the auspicious occasion of the 75th Republic Day of the country. 

Remembering Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose, Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das, and Utkal Gourav Madhusudan Das, among many other freedom strugglers and nation builders, the Chief Minister said the country is on the path of truth, peace, nonviolence, equality, justice and progress.  Odisha and all other States have contributed to India's development, he contended.  

"India's fame is growing globally for its excellent performance in all sectors. All states have contributed to the country's development. Our Odisha has also played an important role. Odisha has registered a new history in all sectors during the last 20 years. Odisha's growth has been an example for others," said Patnaik. 

On the occasion, he hailed Lord Jagannath as the 'Shrestha Parichaya' (best identity) of Odisha. He expressed happiness over the recent inauguration of Shreemandir Parikrama Prakalpa and Odia University.
