Puri, Apr 13: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi released the Odia New Year Calendar on Pana Sankranti eve.

The Chief Minister urged the people of the state to celebrate the Odia New Year as per tradition and said no SOP is required to celebrate the Odia New Year.

The Chief Minister extended his greetings to the people of Odisha on the occasion of Pana Sankranti.

SJTA Chief Administrator Arabind Padhee and servitors of the temple welcomed the chief minister on his arrival at the Singhadwar (Lions' Gate) of the shrine.

Chief Secretary Monoj Ahuja, Law Minister Prithviraj Harichaandan, and Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari also visited the Shreemandir. The Chief Minister spent about 20 to 25 minutes inside the Srimandir and also paid obeisance to Maa Lakshmi and Maa Bimala.

The Chief Minister distributed 'Tanka Torani' to devotees on the occasion.
