Balasore, Nov 13: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday joined thousands of citizens, students, and public representatives in a massive ‘Ekta Padayatra’ from Nilgiri to Mitrapur in Balasore district to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the “Iron Man of India.”

dignitaries, walked alongside lakhs of participants. The march symbolized unity
and patriotism, echoing Patel’s vision of a strong and united India.

in a post on X, expressed his admiration for the overwhelming participation of
students, youth, and the public. He emphasized that the strength of unity
demonstrated during the Padayatra reflects the collective spirit of patriotism.
He urged citizens to work together for a stronger and prosperous Odisha and
India.

The Chief
Minister’s visit to Balasore began with his arrival at the Nilagiri College
ground by helicopter. Following his arrival, he offered prayers at the
Jagannath Temple, Nilagiri, seeking blessings for the welfare of the people of
Odisha. Later, he addressed a large gathering at the Police ground before
leading the Padayatra.
