Bhubaneswar, Aug 5: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi heard the grievances of 1,750 people who visited the Chief Minister's Grievance Cell today. 

Ministers helped the Chief Minister to hear the grievances and take accelerated action.  

“We had never stood near the former Chief Minister. We are happy that the present Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, is listening to our grievances personally and resolving the problems,” said a villager who visited the CM Grievance Cell.

He said he urged the Chief Minister to allot a pucca house and got assurance from him. “I had been waiting for a pucca house. Thanks to the new government for assuring me to take appropriate action soon,” said he. 

A physically disabled man who visited the Chief Minister and urged for a tri-cycle also got assurance. “I had been moving from pillar to the post to get a tricycle. Nobody cared about me. Now I am hopefull to get a tricycle,” said the man. 

Meanwhile, the State government has decided to conduct a grievance hearing at district and block levels. A review meeting would be held every three months to ascertain which of the heard grievances were fulfilled and which were not. 

Officers have been directed to resolve the people’s problems within seven days. Ministers will hold grievance meetings at district and block levels. 

Three Ministers- Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, Industries Minister Sampad Swain and Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Suryabanshi Suraj- listened to people’s grievances at the BJP State head office here.
