Bhubaneswar, Mar 25: In a bold move that underscores Odisha's commitment to rooting out corruption, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on Monday, revealed the dismissal of 159 government officials over the past five years for misconduct and graft.

This milestone highlights the state government's unwavering stance on promoting transparency and accountability within its administration.

Addressing the public, CM Majhi emphasised that the government’s zero-tolerance policy has yielded significant results, not only in dismissing errant officials but also in seizing illegal assets worth Rs 59.47 crore during the same period. He stated, “This is a significant step toward restoring public trust and ensuring ethical governance.”
