Bhubaneswar, May 17: In a major boost to Odisha’s industrial growth, Tata Group is set to invest Rs 63,000 crore in a mega industrial project in Jajpur district.
The ambitious project aims to create over 34,000 jobs, significantly enhancing the state’s manufacturing landscape.
Industries Minister Samapad Swain on Saturday informed that Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will lay the foundation stone for the project on May 22. Alongside this, the CM will also inaugurate four projects and lay the foundation for 12 others, contributing to a total investment of Rs 1.14 lakh crore in the region.
Additionally, JSW and Vedanta have expressed interest in establishing industrial units in Odisha, with JSW setting up a plant in Jagatsinghpur and AMNS beginning operations in Paradip.
The state government has assured full support for these ventures, aiming to transform Odisha into a leading industrial hub.
