Keonjhar, Aug 3: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted a comprehensive review of development initiatives in Keonjhar district today, emphasising infrastructure, connectivity, and welfare schemes.
Senior officials, legislators, and administrative heads were present during the high-level meeting held at Darbar Hall.
The Chief Minister reviewed major road and bridge projects including the Raisuan Airstrip, Keonjhar Bypass, Iconic Bridge, and the mining corridor. He expressed satisfaction with ongoing work and directed officials to expedite pending projects like the Ramchandrapur-Deogaon bridge and the Barbil-Chandikhole road expansion.
The CM stressed strengthening healthcare and educational services, launching three advanced ambulances and a mobile education unit to serve remote areas.
Areas facing drinking water shortages were instructed to receive immediate attention. Plans for renewable energy and power infrastructure were also discussed.
He emphasised the development of Maa Tarini temple and proposed land acquisition for a Rs 40,000 crore mega steel plant, marking a major step toward industrialisation.
CM Majhi praised Keonjhar’s performance in schemes like Subhadra Yojana and "Lakhpati Didi", urging officials to maintain momentum.
He directed swift resolution of forest land transfer issues and emphasised timely tender execution and quality assurance in all projects.
