CM Majhi Orders To Address Water-Related Issues: Development Commissioner

Bhubaneswar, June 22: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi continues to address the issues going on in Odisha and this time he turned his focus towards water resources as he gave multiple directives Saturday following a review meeting.
Development Commissioner Anu Garg said that CM Majhi has reviewed the preparedness of the Planning and Convergence Department for possible floods.
"The Chief Minister has directed to strengthen the weak river embankments and to be on alert," said Garg. "He has ordered to keep the Flood Control Room active 24/7 and directed all the officials to be in readiness for emergencies. Besides, Tehsildar and our department are supervising the weak river embankments," she added.

✨Majhi has also ordered to complete all the delayed projects of Water Resources Dept. "The CM has also ordered to complete the mega and minor lift irrigation projects as well as deep borewells, ASAP. He has also directed to work on the promises made in the election manifesto," informed Garg.
