CM Majhi Listens to the People: Grievance Hearing Held in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, Jul 28: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is holding a public grievance hearing on Monday at the newly set-up chamber near Capital Nursery, Unit-2, Bhubaneswar. This marks the 13th session of the CM’s grievance redressal programme.

 

The event, organized by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, saw participation from 1,000 registered citizens, who had signed up via the Jana Sunani portal. The CM was joined by key cabinet ministers including Health & Family Welfare Minister Mukesh Mahaling, Excise, Law & Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan, and Fisheries & Animal Resources Minister Gokulananda Mallik, among others.

 

The hearing began with a dedicated session for persons with disabilities (PwDs), followed by general public interactions. Citizens presented written complaints and identification documents, and many received on-the-spot assurances from the CM and officials.

CM Majhi reiterated his commitment to visit various districts across Odisha to hear grievances firsthand and ensure timely resolution. “This is not just a hearing; it’s a promise to restore trust in governance,” he said.

 

To ensure comfort amid monsoon conditions, the venue was equipped with seating arrangements, fans and coolers, drinking water, clean toilet facilities. The location near the railway station and bus stand was chosen for easy accessibility.
