Khordha, Apr 3: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday laid the foundation stone for 14 industrial projects and inaugurated an industry worth Rs 5,770 crore in Khordha district today.
The projects are expected to give direct employment to 30,480 people and indirect employment to 6,550 people.
Besides, the State government will construct houses and roads for 6,000 employees with Rs 300 budget of the Idco.
The government has targeted investing Rs 30,000 crore in Khordha district by April 3, 2028.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for projects like Shramik Awas under the Deendayal Karmachari Awaj Yojana, Jupiter Tatravgaonka Rail Wheel Factory Private Limited and Shalimar Glass Walls Private Limited at Kalibeti.

✨The foundation stone was also laid for Golden Sims Industries Private Limited, Pooja International, BL International Private Limited and Rainbow Fabart Private Limited at Arang.
The Chief Minister laid the foundation stone of projects such as Polymeror India Private Limited at Goudput, IFGL Refractories Limited and Bhubaneshwari Foods and Beverages Private Limited at Khajuria.
Majhi said that the Government is committed to providing all possible support to the industrial activities aimed at attracting investment.
The foundation-stone laying ceremoney was held at Haladipada.Chief Minister Majhi graced as chief guest and Khordha MLA Prasant Jagadeb, Jatni MLA Bibhuti Balabantray, Industries Secretary Hemant Sharma and Khordah district Collector were present.
