Bhubaneswar, Mar 4: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has invited Leader of Opposition (LoP) Naveen Patnaik to attend the birth anniversary of Biju Patnaik, which is going to be celebrated at Jaydev Bhavan here on March 5.

According to reports, Majhi has urged Naveen Patnaik to attend the state-level meeting as the chief guest.

In a letter, Majhi wrote, "On March 5, the state government is celebrating the birth anniversary of Biju Patnaik, the great son of Odisha. For this, a state-level meeting has been organised at Jaydev Bhavan at 7 pm. I invite you to be a special guest at this event. Your warm presence will add to the grandeur of the event."

It may be noted that, March 5 which was earlier celebrated as 'Panchayati Raj Day' in Odisha every year, this time, the day will be observed on April 24, said a statement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
