Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched the Shaheed Madho Singh Hatakharcha (Pocket Money) Scheme on Sunday.
The Chief Minister launched the scheme at the inauguration of the Adivasi Mela (Tribal Fair)-2025 at the Exhibition Ground in Bhubaneswar. Under this scheme, a government aid of Rs 5,000 will be given to tribal students.
This assistance will be given to the students, who will be admitted to Class 9th and Class 11th after passing 8th and 10th classes, respectively.

✨A layout of Rs 156 crore has been provisioned for this scheme. The scheme aims to prevent dropouts. More than 2 lakh students will be benefited from the scheme.
An amount of Rs 5,000 will be given as a one-time incentive in every academic year.
