Bhubaneswar, Apr 30: On the occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Wednesday released Rs 1,025 crore under the CM-KISAN Yojana.
The amount was distributed to around 50 lakh 16 thousand farmers across the state.
The funds were directly transferred to farmers’ bank accounts with a single click, reinforcing the state’s commitment to agricultural development and rural welfare.
For the first time, the scheme includes 25,000 urban farmers, extending financial support beyond traditional rural farming communities. This move highlights the government’s effort to uplift all sections of the farming sector, ensuring better opportunities for growth and stability.
The Scheme aims to provide timely financial assistance, helping farmers invest in essential resources for their crops. This initiative underscores Odisha’s dedication to strengthening the agricultural economy while ensuring financial security for farmers.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, on September 8, 2024, rolled out the CM-KISAN Yojana which will benefit around 46 lakh farmers of the state, including the landless.
The scheme will benefit farmers who had remained out of the ambit of PM-Kisan Yojana.

✨Under the scheme, the government will provide Rs 4,000 annually to nearly 46 lakh small and marginal farmers in two instalments to be released on the day of Nuakhai and Akshaya Tritiya.
