Bhubaneswar, Aug 27: The Odisha government will disburse the third installment of the CM Kisan Yojana today, benefiting over 51 lakh small and marginal farmers across the state.
As part of the initiative, more than 39,000 landless agricultural families will also receive financial assistance.
Rs 1,041 crore will be credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Launched during the Nuakhai festival in 2024 by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the CM Kisan Yojana aims to support farmers who are not covered under the central PM-KISAN scheme.
Eligible farmers receive Rs 4,000 annually, distributed in two installments.
The scheme has expanded significantly since its inception, reflecting the growing focus on inclusive agricultural welfare.
