Bhubaneswar, June 12: Chief Minister-Designate Mohan Charan Majhi visited Naveen Niwas and invited outgoing Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to his swearing-in ceremony scheduled to be held at Janata Maidan at 4.45 pm today.
"I came here to invite former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to our swearing-in ceremony. I requested him to join the event and bless the new (BJP) government," Majhi told reporters outside the Naveen Niwas.
The CM-designate also informed that the former CM consented to join the event. "I am assured that the former Chief Minister will join the swearing-in ceremony and bless the new government," asserted Majhi.
Earlier in the day, Majhi moved across the capital city and garlanded statutes of legendary persons of Odisha.

✨From Naveen Niwas, Majhi left for Puri to have the Darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra and seek the deities' blessings.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, and Chief Ministers of nine BJP-ruled States are also scheduled to grace the swearing-in event.
With swearing-in, the BJP would begin its first innings of Odisha government.
