Cuttack, Feb 11: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday said mid-day meal (MDM) will also be served to Class IX and X students in High Schools soon.
Addressing the centenary of the Ranihat High School, the Chief Minister said the State cabinet has approved a proposal to provide free MDM to High School students.
"The main aim is to check dropouts in schools," said the Chief Minister.

✨The Chief Minister hailed the Ranihat High School on completing 100 successful years. He announced to provide Rs 2 crore for further development of the school.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister said the National Education Policy 2020 will be implemented in the State soon. More schools will be built in Odisha. Odisha is witnessing intense development during the double-engine government.
Stating that his government has recruited over 19,000 teachers in just seven months, the Chief Minister said more teacher recruitments will be done in the coming days. His government is committed to speeding up the development of the State across sectors, he said.
