Malkangiri, Mar 6: A class 10 student died while another sustained injuries in a road mishap near Chandanpur in Malkangiri district today.

The identity of the deceased student is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, the victims were heading towards Padmagiri school for the examination when they met with an accident. Following the incident, one student died on the spot while another, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to the hospital. 

Reportedly, police have reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.

In yet another incident, one person was killed while another sustained injuries after the bike they were travelling collided with a sand-laden vehicle near Gopanagar under Dharmasala block in Jajpur district.

The deceased has been identified as resident of Bhagabanpur area.
