Berhampur, Sep 8: A shocking incident during Ganesh immersion festivities in Phulta village under Nimakhandi police limits has triggered widespread outrage across Odisha.
What began as a celebratory procession turned into a dangerous spectacle when two DJ trucks from rival Ganesh Puja committees collided repeatedly in a reckless show of dominance.
The clash, which lasted over 30 minutes, saw both trucks ramming into each other while blaring music, with over 10 youths riding atop the vehicles and hundreds of spectators surrounding them.

✨Eyewitnesses described the scene as chaotic and life-threatening, with sparks flying and equipment damaged. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the risk to public safety was immense.
Videos of the incident quickly went viral on social media, prompting swift action from the Berhampur district administration. Sub-Collector Abhishek Kumar confirmed that both DJ shops —identified as Rahul DJ and Bajrang DJ — have been sealed, and their trucks and sound systems seized.
Authorities are also initiating proceedings to cancel the
driving licenses of the operators involved.
