Bhubaneswar, May 20: The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha has officially declared the +2 Results 2026, bringing relief and excitement to more than 4.1 lakh students across the state. The results were announced from the CHSE office in Bhubaneswar, with School and Mass Education Minister Nityananda Gond releasing the result book.
This year’s examinations were conducted offline across multiple centres statewide. Students from Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams can now access their scorecards through official portals including results.odisha.gov.in and orissaresults.nic.in, by entering their roll number and registration number. Provisional marksheets have also been made available digitally.
The Science stream emerged as the top performer, recording a pass percentage of 88.8%. Within Science, boys achieved a pass rate of 87.41%, while girls outshone them with 90.24%. The Commerce stream followed closely with 88.07%, where boys registered 86.67% and girls excelled at 90.43%. The Arts stream recorded a pass percentage of 84.5%, reflecting steady performance across colleges.
Overall, girls continued their dominance in Odisha’s board examinations. The state’s aggregate pass rate for boys stood at 77.97%, while girls achieved an impressive 89.45%, reinforcing the trend of female students outperforming their male counterparts.
Stream‑wise student participation was significant: 2,56,707 candidates appeared in Arts, 1,14,363 in Science, 24,621 in Commerce, and 5,932 in Vocational studies. The combined effort highlights the scale of Odisha’s higher secondary education system.
In a significant announcement, Minister Nityananda Gond stated that for the first time in CHSE’s history, students who have passed but feel dissatisfied with their marks in any one subject will be allowed to appear for an improvement examination. He further confirmed that rechecking results will be published by May 27, 2026, while students can download their digital marksheets via DigiLocker from tomorrow. Hard copies will be distributed by June 15, 2026.
The Minister also announced that instant and improvement examinations will be conducted in the first week of July, with advertisements for form fill‑up to be released soon. This new provision is expected to benefit thousands of students seeking to enhance their academic performance.
