Berhampur, Aug 24: Police arrested another accused in connection with the Ganjam-Chikiti spurious liquor consumption case that took two lives and left several others critical a few days back.
With the arrest of Rajendra Sahoo alias Juria, the number of arrests rose to eight. Rajendra had been absconding since the day of the incident.
Police said Rajendra's wife was arrested earlier.
It may be noted that while two persons were killed due to consumption of spurious liquor, about 20 others were hospitalized. Some of them are undergoing treatment in ICUs.
