Bhubaneswar, Dec 29: Odisha Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena got a six-month extension in the post till June 30, 2024. 

A notification issued by the General Administration Department said the Chief Secretary Jena's superannuation date was January 1, 2024. The State Government, on the approval of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, extended his service period in the Chief Secretary post by six months till June 30, 2024. 

It may be noted that Jena, a 1989-batch IAS officer, had been appointed as Chief Secretary on February 23, 2023.
