Bhubaneswar, Jan 5: Manoj Ahuja, Chief Secretary of Odisha, Sunday inspected the Bhubaneswar's Janata Maidan, which will host the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas celebrations.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas will kickstart January 8 (Wednesday) and conclude January 10 (Friday).

Speaking about the historic event, which will be hosted by Odisha for the first time, Ahuja said that so far, 3,500 overseas Indians have registered their names for the event.

"The preparations will be completed within a couple of days. Odisha's arts, culture and traditions will be on display. (We hope) it will be lifetime memory for the overseas Indians," stated the Odisha Chief Secretary.

Ahuja also revealed that the event will have a session for tourism, trade and industry.
