Puri, Sep 1: A crucial meeting of the Chhatisa Nijoga is set to take place on Tuesday at 5 pm at Niladri Bhakta Niwas in Puri, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple and the District Collector of Puri.
As per reports, the meeting will focus on finalizing the special ritual schedule for the upcoming lunar eclipse on September 7.
In addition to the eclipse-related protocols, the meeting will address several significant matters concerning temple operations and devotee management. One of the key topics includes the launch of the Dhaadi Darshan system at Natamandap from September 15, aimed at streamlining the viewing experience for women, children, senior citizens, and differently-abled devotees.

✨Discussions will also cover the removal of temporary wooden ramps used during special rituals, ensuring safe and organized movement within temple premises. Representatives of various sevayat (servitors) groups will participate in the meeting to provide input on logistics and devotee welfare.
The day after the Chhatisa Nijoga meeting, on September 3, the newly formed temple management committee will hold its first session under the leadership of Gajapati Maharaja. Ten newly nominated members will be welcomed, and sub-committees will be constituted to oversee various aspects of temple governance.
The approved lunar eclipse ritual schedule will be formally
endorsed by the management committee. Other agenda items include gemstone
inventory verification, temple security enhancements, and proposed amendments
to the Shree Mandir Act.
