Cuttack, Apr 15: Katakachandi Mandir was marooned, and residents of Cuttack city faced a horrowing situation with rainwater inundating most streets after a strong nor'wester in the afternoon today. Rainwater gushed into houses, forcing residents to stay indoors for a few hours.


According to the information, a Nor'wester caused heavy rains along with lightning in the city. Rainwater soon gathered and stood to knee-high in most parts.


Mixed with drain water, it flowed into houses. Residents faced difficulties in movement for a few hours. Dirty water also flowed in Maa Katakachandi temple, disrupting normal activities there.
