Cuttack, Apr 15: Katakachandi Mandir was marooned, and residents of Cuttack city faced a horrowing situation with rainwater inundating most streets after a strong nor'wester in the afternoon today. Rainwater gushed into houses, forcing residents to stay indoors for a few hours.
According to the information, a Nor'wester caused heavy rains along with lightning in the city. Rainwater soon gathered and stood to knee-high in most parts.

✨Mixed with drain water, it flowed into houses. Residents faced difficulties in movement for a few hours. Dirty water also flowed in Maa Katakachandi temple, disrupting normal activities there.
Localities like Lalban Sahi, Rover Street, Odia Bazaar, Patapola, Kesharpur, Saantasahi and Roxy lane were marooned due to heavy rains caused by the Nor'wester.
