The CCTV footage shows the woman, carrying a backpack, standing at the jewellery counter along with other customers. She appears to examine rings displayed in a tray while the shop staff attend to customers at the busy counter.

As the salesman continues to show jewellery to customers, the woman moves closer to the ring display and handles the items. At one point, she appears to move her hand away from the display while remaining at the counter. The footage also shows her continuing to interact around the jewellery tray as other customers stand nearby.

According to the shopkeeper's complaint, the woman took a gold ring while pretending to examine the jewellery and concealed it before leaving the shop. The crowd at the counter is suspected to have helped her avoid immediate detection.
