Cuttack, June 9: In a major crackdown, Badamba Police on Monday arrested Yusuf Khan, a notorious cattle smuggling kingpin with multiple cases pending against him, in Odisha’s Cuttack district.

Khan, a native of Karadapalli village under Tigiria Police limits in Cuttack district, has been accused of illegal cattle transportation across several regions, including Narsinghpur, Kanpur, and Tigiria police station limits. His criminal record also includes assault on police personnel, making him one of the most wanted figures in the smuggling network.

Police have been tracking Khan’s activities for months, as cattle smuggling continues to be a growing concern in the state. His arrest is expected to disrupt smuggling operations and aid ongoing investigations into the organized cattle trade.
