Careless Bike-Driving Takes Lives Of Two in Mayurbhanj Village

Mayurbhanj, Aug 19: In a shocking incident, two people reportedly died due to careless driving in the Morada area of Mayurbhanj district last night. 

The deceased were identified as Sama Marandi, a resident of Ulidihi village, and Sundar Murmu, a resident of Aanua village, both of Gholamuhan gram panchayat under the Morada police station limits. 

According to the information, the two were going by motorcycle when the bike hit a roadside date tree and fell into a water-filled ditch at Pauda under Chitrada police outpost under the Morada PS late Sunday night. The accident remained unnoticed as it was a late night and the place was lonely. The two reportedly died drowning in the water. 

Some locals saw the two floating in the water this morning and called for the police. 

A team of Morada police along with fire personnel fished out the two in an unconscious state. The two were later declared dead in a nearby hospital.
