Bus Carrying Bride’s Guests Crashes In Keonjhar; One Killed, Several Hurt

Keonjhar, Jun 24: At least one person was killed while several others sustained critical injuries after a bus they were travelling in met with a road accident near Kandra Toll Plaza on National Highway 520 under Joda Police limits in Keonjhar district.
The deceased has been identified as helper of the bus.
According to reports, the victims, around 50 members of the bride’s family, had travelled to the groom’s home on a bus named ‘Subhasini.’ They were returning after dinner post the wedding rituals when the bus slammed into a stationary truck parked along the roadside shortly after crossing the Kandra Toll Plaza.
Following the incident, emergency teams from Joda Police and the fire department rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation.
The injured were immediately rushed to the Basudevpur Community Health Center. However, doctors there declared the bus helper dead.

✨Among the injured were women and children, with one individual in critical condition later referred to Keonjhar District Hospital.
While the driver reportedly fled the scene, Joda Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
