Bhubaneswar, Feb 12: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surama Padhi chaired an all-party meeting on Wednesday, a day ahead of the Budget Session scheduled to begin on Thursday.

Leaders from different political parties attended the all-party meeting where they discussed various issues regarding the smooth functioning of the House. The Speaker sought cooperation from all members of the House.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Mukesh Mahaling, senior BJD leader Pramila Mallik, and Congress Legislative Party Leader Rama Chandra Kadam were present.

As per the calendar of the Assembly, the Budget Session will be held in two phases starting February 13 and ending April 5. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will present the Annual Budget for 2025-26 on February 17.

According to the information, the session will be paperless as all 147 MLAs have been supplied tablets to carry out their legislative duties.
