Balasore, June 3: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Odisha police and excise department officials seized 145 grams of brown sugar and arrested two persons in connection with the case.
The accused persons were identified as Rani Mallika and her husband.
Acting on a tip-off, the police along with the officials conducted a raid at Chandaneswar Market in Bhograi block and arrested the accused persons during a deal.
During the raid, authorities seized 145 grams of brown sugar, estimated to be worth Rs 15 lakh, along with Rs 5,500 in cash.
