Sambalpur, Feb 4: The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) raided the house of Sambalpur University's Prof Bulu Maharana in connection with the bribe-for-NAAC Rank case in which the professor and some others were arrested a few days back.
According to the information, five officers from New Delhi and Bhubaneswar CBI offices were involved in the search. They reportedly seized some important documents and a computer from the Professor's house.

✨Prof Maharana's brother Bimal Kumar Maharana said the family cooperated with the raiding officers.
Notably, the CBI arrested about 15 persons, including the Sambalpur University Professor, on the charge of taking a huge amount of bribe from a Guntur-based university to give a higher NAAC rank to the institute.
A complaint was lodged with the investigating agency earlier.
