Sambalpur, Feb 4: The Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) raided the house of Sambalpur University's Prof Bulu Maharana in connection with the bribe-for-NAAC Rank case in which the professor and some others were arrested a few days back.
According to the information, five officers from New Delhi and Bhubaneswar CBI offices were involved in the search. They reportedly seized some important documents and a computer from the Professor's house.
Prof Maharana's brother Bimal Kumar Maharana said the family cooperated with the raiding officers.

✨Notably, the CBI arrested about 15 persons, including the Sambalpur University Professor, on the charge of taking a huge amount of bribe from a Guntur-based university to give a higher NAAC rank to the institute.
A complaint was lodged with the investigating agency earlier.
