Jajpur, Jul 16: Authorities have issued a alert for vulnerable low-lying regions following the rise in Brahmani River's water level.

Reportedly, the river started swelling after it received floodwater from its tributaries.

As of 8 AM this morning, the water level at Jenapur stands at 65.10 feet, edging close to the official danger mark of 67 feet.

With rainfall and upstream inflows contributing to the surge, concerns are mounting over potential flooding in the river’s downstream areas.

The Rasulpur Block Administration has stepped up efforts to keep residents informed and prepared.

On the other hand, officials are also monitoring the situation closely and have issued alerts to prevent loss of life and property.
