Khariar, Jan 23: One person was critically injured and two others sustained injuries after a Bolero vehicle hit a motorcycle and dragged it for nearly two kilometres in Nuapada district on Friday, a source said.
The incident took place near Gadramunda Canal Chhak under Khariar police station limits.
According to the source, a Bolero vehicle collided with a motorcycle at the junction and continued moving, dragging the bike along the road for a considerable distance.
Three people from Padmapur village were travelling on the motorcycle at the time of the accident. Of them, one suffered serious injuries, while the other two were injured. All three were rushed to the Khariar Sub-Divisional Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. The condition of one of the injured was stated to be critical.
Following the incident, Khariar police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The driver of the Bolero involved in the accident was detained by the police.

Police said the motorcycle was completely damaged due to the impact and the drag. Traffic movement in the area was briefly affected as locals gathered at the accident site after the incident.
