Bolangir: Six Teachers Suspended For Negligence In Duty

Bolangir, Feb 27: As many as six teachers of Hadali High School under Muribahal block in Bolangir district have been placed under suspension over negligence in duty.
According to reports, the matter came to fore while the Titlagarh Sub-Collector Rehan Khatri was on inspection at the Hadali High School ahead of the matric exam. During the visit, the Sub-Collector found irregularities in the exam centre. Following this, the officer recommended the Bolangir District Collector to take action against the teachers.
On direction, the District Education Officer (DEO) suspended headmaster Umesh Biswal and assistant teacher Baijayanti Subudhi of Hadali High School.
The District Collector also directed Muribahal BEO to suspend Yamuna High School teacher Ankita Pradhan, Hadahada High School teacher Manoj Kumbhar, Bankel High School teacher Kapileswar Behera and Jugirta School teacher Somnath Dhal.
The High School Certificate (Matriculation) examination under the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, began on Friday. The exam is being conducted every day from 9 AM to 11 AM. There are instructions to conduct the examination in a systematic and smooth manner. All the examination centres are under CCTV surveillance, while AI cameras have been installed at the nodal centres. Strict measures have been taken to ensure that the students appear for the exams in a fair manner.
