Khurda, May 24: The Odisha Vigilance department has arrested Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Bolagarh Police Outpost in Khurda district, Odisha, while accepting Rs 10,000 bribe.
According to reports, the accused officer, identified as Tushar Kanta Nayak, had demanded Rs 10,000 from a complainant to alter the details of a case.
Acting on a tip-off, the vigilance team laid a trap and caught the officer red-handed while receiving Rs 10,000 through the police driver. Following this, the accused officer was arrested and taken into custody.
