The tainted police officer has been identified as Sushant Kumar Satpathy.
Cash bundles of Rs 500 approximately amounting to Rs. 25 lakh have been found during searches in his government quarter at Cuttack this morning.
According to reports, Boipariguda IIC Sushant Kumar Satpathy was on his way to his house in Cuttack in a private bus when vigilance sleuths intercepted him.

✨Acting on a tipoff, the Vigilance team was waiting near Tankua on the Jeypore city outskirts. The sleuths seized cash worth Rs 2.7 lakh from the IIC and sought to know the sources of the cash.
The IIC was detained. An investigation into the matter is underway.
