Puri, Apr 18: Around 60 passengers got stranded for hours after the boat ferrying them got stuck in the waters of Chilika lake at Satapada in Puri Friday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred when the boat was on its way from Satapada to Janhikuda. Meanwhile, the boat got stuck midway due to a mechanical failure.

Following the incident, officials of Chilika Development Authority (CDA) and locals rushed to the spot and initiated a rescue operation.
