Bhubaneswar, Aug 29: The sanitation workers of Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) have staged a 'No Broom' protest Thursday here over an alleged hooliganism by a corporator of Biju Janata Dal (BJD).
The workers stopped their regular cleaning -- with broom -- works in a couple of wards in protest against the BJD corporator's hooliganism.
According to reports, the cleaning works in ward No. 30 and 34 of Sahid Nagar and Satya Nagar areas, respectively, have been stopped by the BMC cleaning staff.

✨The corporator had reportedly misbehaved with a sanitation worker which led to the protest. The protestors have demanded an apology from the corporator to resume the works in the wards.
