Bhubaneswar, Jul 23: The Odisha Vigilance Department on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids at multiple locations linked to Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) Executive Engineer Jagannath Patnaik following allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The raids were carried out at four separate locations linked to Patnaik. The properties includes- a three-storey residence in the Badagada area of Bhubaneswar, a farmhouse in Balianta Ranpur Mouza, ancestral home in Rayagada and BMC office in Bhubaneswar.
A high-level vigilance team comprising 6 DSPs, 10 Inspectors, and several other officials participated in the operation.
Authorities are currently assessing the value of the seized assets and documents.
