Bhubaneswar, Sept 3: A Central team will visit Odisha tomorrow to oversee the bird flu situation in the State. 
Health Director Bijay Mohapatra said this to the media on Tuesday.  

The Central team is scheduled to visit the bird flu-affected Pipili area and hold talks with the officials of the Health Department, said Mohapatra.

He said the team has been informed about the steps taken to check the spread of bird flu in the State.   

On the occasion, the Health Director said some samples from Kendrapara district had been sent for test after the death of some birds in the district. All districts have been alerted against the possible spread of the bird flu. 

The Health Department has advised people working in bird farms and selling points to remain alert, said Mohapatra.
