Bhubaneswar, Jun 12: The Odisha government has launched a new initiative called "Bikash Vahan," aimed at taking government development projects and welfare schemes directly to the people.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the state-level event and flagged off the Bikash Vahans, highlighting the government's commitment to grassroots outreach.

The campaign will involve specially equipped vans traveling across all 314 blocks of Odisha, showcasing the state's development programs, policies, and achievements. The initiative aligns with the vision of the central government to accelerate national progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister emphasized the double-engine government's role in driving economic growth and enhancing governance effectiveness.

A significant focus of the campaign will be poverty alleviation, women's empowerment, and youth development. Special programs such as the "Subhadra Yojana" have been instrumental in improving the lives of women and marginalized communities. Odisha has set national records with initiatives like "Lakshapati Didi," which has enabled thousands of women to achieve financial independence.

Apart from development awareness, the campaign aims to foster public participation by engaging citizens directly in governance. The initiative will also emphasize good governance practices, social welfare, and rapid grievance redressal mechanisms.

With a strong emphasis on economic growth, infrastructure development, and improved public welfare, Odisha is stepping into a new era of progress. The government's message is clear: effective governance and direct outreach are the keys to building a better future for all.
