The work for the new terminal is expected to commence in April this year. An area of 30,000 sq ft has reportedly been allotted for the third terminal.
The report also says that a budget of Rs 1,000 crore has been estimated for the project.
Notably, the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar has two terminals.
