Bhubaneswar-Singapore Flights Suspended As Airlines Revise Summer Operations
Dubai flights had already been suspended earlier owing to regional conflict.

Key Points

Bhubaneswar, Mar 30: Air travellers from Odisha’s capital are facing significant disruptions as several domestic and international flight services have been suspended under the newly announced summer schedule.

According to the Airport Director Prasanna Pradhan, multiple routes have been temporarily halted due to off-season demand and operational adjustments.

Singapore Airlines has ceased operations from Bhubaneswar, while Dubai flights had already been suspended earlier owing to regional conflict. At present, Bangkok remains the only active international destination directly accessible from the city.

This sharp reduction in overseas connectivity has raised concerns among frequent flyers and the tourism industry, which relies heavily on international traffic.

Flights to Indore, Dehradun, and Kochi have been withdrawn, with airlines citing seasonal demand fluctuations as the primary reason. Officials clarified that these suspensions are temporary and may be reviewed once passenger demand stabilizes later in the year.

Industry experts note that such seasonal adjustments are not uncommon, but the scale of cancellations this year is particularly striking. Bhubaneswar, which has been steadily growing as a hub for both business and leisure travel, now faces challenges in maintaining its connectivity with key destinations across India and abroad.

Passengers are advised to check with airlines for updated schedules and alternative routes. While the airport continues to operate flights to major metros like Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, the absence of several important connections is expected to inconvenience travelers during the upcoming summer months.
