Speaking at the event, Minister Mahapatra said the project would significantly decongest the Jaydev Vihar–Nandan Kanan corridor and facilitate smoother movement of passengers to and from Patia Railway Station. He added that the improved road network would benefit residents across the northern parts of the city.

Following the ceremony, the Minister inspected the Affordable Housing Project (AHP) at Gadakana, comprising 680 dwelling units under the EPC mode. The initiative aims to strengthen affordable housing infrastructure and provide improved residential facilities to eligible beneficiaries.
