Bhubaneswar, Nov 21: The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) on Friday convened its 151st Authority Meeting under the chairmanship of Minister for Housing & Urban Development and Public Enterprises-cum-Chairman of the BDA, Dr. Krushna Chandra Mahapatra, officials said.
Ekamra Residency Project
One of the key highlights of the meeting was the announcement of the Ekamra Residency project, a major housing initiative in Subudhipur. Spread across 7.36 acres, the project features three towers with B+G+12 floors, offering 416 two-bedroom and 288 three-bedroom apartments. Designed with contemporary architecture, the project promises modern, aesthetically pleasing living spaces.
Minister Dr. Mahapatra stated, “The modalities of house
allotment will be finalized soon. These projects will fulfill the ambition of
people having their own home in the State Capital. The construction of houses
has already been completed.”

✨Modern Amenities
Ekamra Residency is equipped with a community hall, rooftop swimming pool, walking track, fitness centre, children’s play zone, solar panel zone, landscaped open spaces, and commercial areas. A 100-ft approach road and ample basement parking for residents and visitors further enhance convenience, reflecting BDA’s commitment to high-quality urban living.
Other Key Proposals
The Authority also approved several infrastructure projects, including:
- Development of the CDP road from Sani Temple, Niladri Vihar to DAV School Road, Sailashree Vihar.
- Construction of a 45-metre CDP road connecting Guru Kelu Charan Park Square to Patia Railway Station.
- CDP road linking Nuagaon–Kateni Road to the road passing through TP-08.
The meeting was attended by BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, Jatni Municipality Chairman Ananta Behera, Principal Secretary Usha Padhi, RDC Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, BDA Vice Chairman Chanchal Rana, and senior officials.
