Bhubaneswar, Mar 12: Ahead of general elections, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced monetary support of Rs 50,000 to each of Bhagabat Tungis operating across the State.
There are a total of 7,200 Bhagabat Tungis operating in the State. To expedite their operations, each of them will get Rs 50,000, informed a release of the Chief Minister's Office.
The CMO release also said development works of these Bhagabat Tungis will be undertaken by the Odia Language, Literature, and Culture Department.

✨In another decision, the Chief Minister announced health insurance coverage for each servitor of the Puri Shree Jagannath Temple from Rs 2 lakh to 5 lakh. In case of serious disease, the ailing servitor will get coverage of Rs 5 lakh more.
Besides, servitors' children preparing for national level tests like NEET, JEE and Civil Service Coaching will get annual support of Rs 50,000 for three years, informed another CMO release.
