Bhadrak, Feb 7: An attempt to resolve a quarrel between a man and his wife has reportedly put the Bhadrak police in trouble.

According to the information, a lady Constable rose to action as she came to know that a drunken man was beating his wife black and blue at Motel Chhak under the Bhadrak Town Police station limits. As the lady cop interfered in their quarrel, the drunken man attempted to attack her too.

After that, the constable took the man to the police station, where more than eight policemen beat him severely. He was severely injured and then hospitalized.

Later, he was arrested and forwarded to the court.

However, the woman, who was saved from her drunken husband's attack by the lady Constable, has alleged that her husband was given a third-degree without a fault and complaint.

The incident occurred on February 5.
