Bhadrak, Jan 6: In a tragic incident, a fisherman reported was drowned after falling from his boat in the Bay of Bengal today. 
The deceased has been identified as Rabindra Mallick (60), a resident of Uhada village under Basudebpur block in Bhadrak district. 

According to the information, Rabindra had ventured into the sea for fishing by a boat, named Maa Gayatri, from Chudamani ghat on January 2. However, he unconsciously fell from the boat and died drowning yesterday. 

After a few hours, some other fishermen fished him out and rushed him to the Basudebpur hospital, where doctors declared him dead. 

The incident shocked the fishermen's community.
