Bhadrak, Oct 19: The temple town of Bhadrak is brimming with festive fervour as preparations for the historic Kali Puja near completion. At the revered shrine of Goddess Bhadrakali, the city’s presiding deity, final touches are being made for a week-long spiritual celebration that draws lakhs of devotees from across the state.
This year’s
festivities feature the traditional Saptachandi Puja, with the goddess
appearing in seven divine forms over seven days. Beginning tomorrow, the Shatachandi
Mahayajna will commence, starting with the goddess’s Veda Mata avatar. Each
day, devotees will witness a unique form of the goddess, believed to bring
immense blessings.

The Bhadrakali shrine has been adorned with vibrant decorations, colourful garlands, and enhanced lighting. Authorities have ensured comprehensive arrangements, including improved roads, sanitation, drinking water facilities, and crowd management, anticipating a massive turnout.
